ETHAN GRANGER

Vocals & Acoustic Guitar

Ethan has been part of Firm Foundation since it was established in 2015. While growing up in a musical household, he found many opportunities to learn from his parents to become a better musician and worship leader. At a young age his mom taught him piano, but quickly took to guitar and singing when they formed the band. Ethan attended Louisiana Tech where he graduated with a degree in Music Industry Studies. After graduation he began serving on staff as the Next Gen Worship Leader at Temple Baptist Church in Ruston. He is passionate about writing songs that help others grow close to the Lord while fulfilling leadership roles within ministry. When Ethan is not playing or writing music, he loves spending time outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and hiking, and spending time with his wife, Jess.

Fun Facts: Ethan enjoys cooking and started writing music when he was in the sixth grade.

I am so humbled that God blessed me with the opportunity to even be up on that stage. The crowd and congregation I sing with minister to me just as I minister to them”

ELLA GRANGER

Keyboardist & Vocals 

Ella joined Firm Foundation in 2020, but her love for music began long before that. At a young age she learned to play the piano, guitar, and ukelele while discovering her vocals. She will attend Louisiana Tech in the fall of 2026 to study business. Her favorite hobbies include music, baking, traveling, and enjoying coffee. 

Fun Facts: Ella laughs far more than she talks and has visited the Great Wall of China.

“Music has always been one of my favorite hobbies. Being able to use my musical abilities within Firm Foundation has been the greatest blessing. Not only am I pursuing something I love, but I am growing closer to the Lord while doing so.”

JONATHAN GRANGER

Drummer

Jonathan helped bring the vision of Firm Foundation to life in 2015. Drums has been a passion of his since he was young and now he gets to share the years spent practicing, not only on the stage but also teaching new worship drummers. Jonathan is pursuing a degree in Marketing at Louisiana Tech University. In his free time, he enjoys hunting, working-out, cooking, and spending time with his fiancé, Ava. 

Fun Facts: Jonathan enjoys clothing design and loves his basset hound, Bailey.

“Firm Foundation is an opportunity for me to live out our calling from the Lord. Our music allows us to share the good news of our Savior with others, while actively worshiping Him.”

DAVID GRANGER

Electric Guitar & Vocals

David joined Firm Foundation in 2021, but he has been a vital part of the band since its inception. He and his wife, Allison, originally began training the group of middle school students who formed Firm Foundation back in 2015. He has served as the worship pastor at Norris Ferry Community Church in Shreveport, LA for 19 years. His favorite hobbies are spending time with family, fishing, hunting, and playing guitar. 

Fun Facts: David has traveled to play music in 44 US states as well as Holland, Switzerland, Canada, and Germany.

JESS GRANGER

Vocals

Jess became an official member of Firm Foundation in January of 2025. Her passion for music began as a child where she took part in musicals, church bands and singing with her family. She is now continuing to use those skills through worship to serve the Lord wherever he calls her. Jess holds a Vocal Music Education degree from Louisiana Tech University and also works as a voice, piano and elementary music teacher. Jess enjoys spending time with friends, family and her husband Ethan.

Fun Fact: Jess grew up in Little Rock Arkansas and moved to Louisiana in 2020.

BRAYDEN HERMES

Electric Guitar

Brayden has been a member of Firm Foundation since its start in 2015. His interest in guitar began at age ten simply because “it looked cool”, but as his musical abilities grew so did his heart for worship and using those skills for the Lord.  He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Louisiana Tech University. His favorite hobbies include leading worship at his home church, playing sports, traveling, and linguistics. 

Fun Facts: Brayden is ambidextrous and he and his fiance are highschool sweethearts.

“Not only has Firm Foundation strengthened my musical abilities but also my faith. Surrounding myself with a group of people so focused on using their talents for the Lord has been so beneficial and encouraging.”

PIERCE JENKINS

Bassist

Pierce joined Firm Foundation in 2017. He plays bass, drums, guitar, piano, occasionally he will take the melodica and accordion for a spin. He began learning piano at the age of eleven and soon after taught himself the bass and the rest is history. He graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Music Industry Studies from Louisiana Tech University in May of 2026 and is looking to pursue a career in the music industry.

Fun Facts: He loves collecting fragrances and is a sucker for a good rom-com.
